Hosts, Yukie Nakama representing Akagumi and Nakai Masahiro SMAP representing Shirogumi.
Most of us would know Yukie Nakama as YANKUMI!!!!!!

Joe Hisaishi was intro-ed by Takuya Kimura. He performs music from Hayao Miyazaki's animated movies. Various artists came out to perform few theme songs and others Takuya Kimura would narrated. It was beautiful! Joe Hisaishi's concludes his performances with the appearance of Yuria Naria singing to the theme song of Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.

a little while after that, TOHOSHINKI!!!!! wearing all white, standing in between Nakai and Yukie! clearly standing all in line and introducing themselves! talk a little bit and Nakai proceed them to take their place on stage. Introducing the songs they're singing.
Opened their performance with one chorus of Purple Line, got into position and start the main song. Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattan Darou. Jaejoong cracked just a tiny-weeny bit in the middle but for the first time, it was the best opening of the song! Jaejoong~ah! ganbatta-na! Yokatta-na! Minna! Junsu! Minna!!! Ganbatta-na!!!!! kkkyyyaaaa!!!!!
me and ushi were practically right in front of the screen seeing the boys performing..... It's really their moment!


After that, WaT appeared together along with the 2 hosts and Koike-kun was holding on to Yankumi's picture. Talking about their times back in Gokusen 2. Eiji then came in and talks about his moment and thanks Yukie for working together with him in Gokusen. but hahakz! kawaii! Yukie pretended to not remember him! LOL! then they all together did the infamour Yankumi quote, "Fight-o, OH!" and Aqua Timez starts performing Niji, theme song to Gokusen 3.
It was... Gokusen moment. Remember kids! Gokusen 3 special episode coming out soon. Although I don't really bother as I didn't even watch the special episodes for Gokusen and Gokusen 2. eHekz!!!

Aqua Timez falls in the White team -ushi, guess you're right on this- although there's a girl keyboardist, for their vocalist is male. While Ikimono-gakari falls in the Red team, for their vocalist is female (and the other 2 members are males).

WaT performed 36deg and they sure look so cute.

Jero, the black american guy who is half japanese and loves Enka, debuted and top the chart with his enka, performed and man he's good. his mother, who's a japanese sits in the hall, crying, happy for his son. Jero was proud of his grandmother even brought a portrait of her on stage and dedicate the performance to her.

Checking on the result.... Shirogumi (the White team) is leading! woohoo! after 3 yrs in a row of winning, will they win the battle again?

Lots of enkas and lots of comedic acts going on!! KUMI KODA appears!!! performing Taboo. she sure is sexy and love her! Purple lightings and purple dress for the performance. Is she there for the Tohoshinki boys too??? HAHAHAKZ!!! if only they collaborate in the song fest. love to see it agaiN!
but maybe, she's there performing for her boyfriend who's hosting and representing the White team.

Eventhough am watching it on mosaic, i sure can't change the channel AT ALL! i sure didn't want to miss any of the performances! even id the oldies came out performing their enkas, every single performances are just so special.

With Nakai hosting and representing Shirogumi, the other SMAP members became co-hosts. Reading out special poems, letters, narrating and interviewing others on backstage.

A duo came out and for a moment! i was totally remember i heard the song somewhere and they looked so familiar!
Did a quick check and they're Kobukuro! and yes! they sang the theme song for Oh My Girl! they performed the song! Toki no Ashioto! sigh. that drama finished alreadi. no more Ann and Koutarou. the ending to the drama was really sweet.

Takuya Kimura reappearing again. Introducing and talking about an oldie. nanka~! Takuya-kun, kakkoii.

ah-so! Yuna Ito performed at the 56th NHK Red & White Song Festival and she's considered under the Foreign Artist (America) category.

Finally! Exile! but they're live from Sapporo stadium! SUGOI!!!!!!! hahakz@ they performed Ti Amo! i havent really listen to that song! but now listening to it. It's nice! I'm going to get it.
LOLz! Takahiro, singing. It could have been Jonte. I guess he was better at the vocal battle audition 2 yrs back.

TOHOSHINKI! TOHOSHINKI!!! y r they reappearing? this time all in black! Yukie spoke to them and Junsu answered! they were talking and about the next enka performance !!! Junsu and Yukie! Yankumi!!! YANKUMI and JUNSU SPOKE WITH EACH OTHER! OMG! even for few seconds! they're speaking with each other! Introducing the next enka singer and wow! her performance. despite she's old, it's like cirque de soleil.

....okay! phew! i tot they're performing again! they're jz together with yukie introducing the enka singer.
other then SMAP, Tohoshinki boys are really lucky to get more time appearance then the other performers.

Wah! the SMAP member performing enka with an oldie. Takuya-kun narrating in the song. kakkoii-ne while the other SMAP members happily acting out their role in the ship as the oldie guy sings his enka. SMAP ... sigh,... KAWAII!!!!

about 30-40mins more to go. Who will be winning the battle this time?

...okay! it's been awhile i've not heard SMAP singing properly. i mean, they can't really sing and the only song they can sing, or rather the one i like hearing them sing was Lion heart and oh my! seems Nakai totally spoils the whole thing here. The rest are doing well but Nakai is NOT! and yet he tells the Tohoshinki boys he's the best singer in the world??? LOLz!!!!!!! aaaaHAHAHAHAKZ!!!
